Minerva Park Community Garden
The Minerva Park Community Garden is located near Hawthorne Elementary School. The garden consists of 36 rental plots, 3 elevated boxes, 400 square feet of food pantry donation beds, the Janice Windborne Memorial Garden, a native pollinator garden, an annual flower box, and an herb garden. It is funded by the MPCA and grant funding from various organizations. The garden has dedicated beds to grow produce and all gardeners have the ability to donate excess crops to the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM) and Worthington Food Pantry.
In 2023, the Minerva Park Community Garden donated 490 pounds of food to WARM and Worthington Food Pantry along with produce donations to Hawthorne Elementary.

Community Garden Facts
MASTER GARDENERS
The Minerva Park Community Garden is a Master Gardener Volunteer project. Local Master Gardeners can volunteer in order to achieve the necessary volunteer hours.
HERB GARDEN
The garden contains an herb garden for an Herb Specialization class. These herbs will be used for donation and for gardeners to use.
DONATIONS
In 2022, the Minerva Park Community Garden donated over 400 pounds of fresh produce to local food pantries.
