Meet the Strouses! Quin, Stephanie, and their daughter, Phoebe, moved to their home on Park Lane Dr. in March 2022. Their son, Shia, was welcomed last spring!
Stephanie discovered Minerva Park while picking up a Marketplace purchase and immediately fell in love with the village’s charm. They quickly started looking at houses and found their home before it even hit the market!
Before moving to Minerva Park, they lived in Forest Park, but both are Columbus transplants. Quin grew up in Millersburg, OH, and moved to Columbus to attend OSU. He was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and earned his B.A. in Public Affairs: Nonprofit Management. After many years in the nonprofit sector, he is now an independent financial advisor.
Stephanie grew up in Suffolk, VA, and received her BFA in Graphic Design from Virginia Tech. In 2016, she helped launch MVP Kids, a company creating purposeful entertainment for children. During her time there, she developed many of the characters and illustrated 35 books! She is currently a senior designer at Zaner-Bloser.
The couple met in college during a summer mission trip to Chicago. They fell in love and married in Blacksburg, VA, after graduation. The very next day, they packed everything up and drove back to Columbus to start their first home together!
Quin and Stephanie enjoy home projects, thrifting, traveling, reading, and spending time with family. As a family, they love Minerva Park for its close-knit community, neighbors who have become friends, the pool, and MPCA Kids Events.
Stephanie has also launched her own creative business called Speckled: Art and Design. You can find her on Etsy and Instagram at ThatSpeckledFeeling. Be sure to look for her at the MPCA Arts in the Park this June!
Fun Facts:
Quin and Stephanie both worked for Cru Ministry for many years after moving to Columbus. During their time, they had the opportunity to travel to Brazil on three occasions.
Quin then worked for Design Outreach, a nonprofit working to alleviate global poverty and provide clean drinking water. The company developed a product called LifePump providing drinking water in 12 countries. Quin was able to spend two weeks in Africa in support of the project.
Stephanie is a self-proclaimed thrifty person and has sourced many valuable finds. She has a knack for finding designer goods and collectables. During a road trip she stopped at a Goodwill in PA and purchased Asain textiles that turned out to be very high end and she sold them to a collector in New Jersey!
Phoebe was very interested in being interviewed, and I would be remiss if I did not include that she loves preschool, coloring, legos, reading, playing with friends, and swimming lessons!
