Garden Tour
The summer Garden Tour provides an opportunity for residents to see how others have decorated their outdoor spaces and learn tips and tricks for making their own landscaping more appealing.
Sip & Dip
Held at the pool for adults only, these are a great way to spend time with neighbors you know and an opportunity to meet the ones you don’t. Snacks are provided; bring your own beverage of choice, and take an evening dip in the pool. There is a nominal entrance fee.
Children's Events
MPCA sponsors children's events all year long that follow seasons and holiday themes and include games, art projects, and treats.
Family Fun Night
A summertime event held in the evening at the Pool for kids and adults. Our events committee puts together a fun theme-based evening including food, beer, music, swimming and contests. There is a nominal entrance fee.
Festival of Lights
Adds good-spirited competition to holiday decorating and winners are judged in several categories including best: Outdoor Tree, Entrance Way, Religious Theme, Whimsical Display, and Outline Effect. Winners receive a gift certificate to a local nursery.
Community Wide Garage Sale
Held once a year, MPCA provides advertising, maps and mailbox identifiers so it is easy to locate those participating. This has become a very popular event for residents and MPCA alike. There is a fee to participate.
Arts in the Park
One of our newer events, Arts in the Park provides an opportunity for resident-artists, musicians, and skilled crafts people to showcase their talents. Held on the grounds of the Community Building with the lakes as a backdrop, come and listen to music, try local food trucks, and spend a pleasant summer afternoon. There is a small booth fee for artists.
Candidate's Night
Meet the Candidates – Held in October, this is the residents’ opportunity to review credentials and discuss issues.
Trolley Rides and Holiday Party
We celebrate the holidays with treats served in the Community Building. Enjoy hot chocolate by the bonfire (provided by one of our Boy Scout troops), food, cookies, and enjoy music played by resident musicians. A trolley ride awaits to tour the local holiday decorations.
Garden Awards
Dedicated to a different season each year, the Garden Award honors a particularly beautiful garden. Their name(s) are added to the plaque at the Community Building.
Welcome Team
The local “welcome wagon” greets new neighbors, provides a packet of information to make their transition to Minerva Park easier, and can answer questions new residents may have. The Welcome Team also collects contact information for the Directory.
MyMPCA Newsletter
The newsletter space is shared between the Village Government News and the MPCA News. It is delivered monthly. MPCA keeps residents up-to-date on activities and events, and provides a place for local businesses to advertise. This newsletter is mailed to every household
Community Garden
The Minerva Park Community Garden is located on land provided by Westerville Hawthorne Elementary School. The garden has multiple raised beds, that can be rented seasonally by residents. It also contains plots to encourage pollinators, foraging insects and other helpful insects and birds. A portion of produce is donated to the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM).
Resident Directory
Published annually, this is a name, address, and phone number directory that also includes a cross reference by street address. Additional items include a map of the Village and a list of helpful phone numbers such as the Mayor’s office and Police Department. The directory can be requested as a paper booklet or a searchable PDF file. Please place your order during the membership drive.
Minerva Flora
Minerva Flora is a group of volunteers dedicated to the beautification of the Village, maintaining Minerva Park entrances and common-area and beds. MPCA supports this group with a budget for supplies and plants.
